Privacy Policy

Linestash is a quote-keeping app made by Numina Labs. This policy describes the data the app holds, where it lives, the third parties that process it, and what you can do about it. It is written to be read, not to be survived. Where a claim is specific, we mean it specifically.

01 Who we are

Numina Labs is the data controller for Linestash. If you want to reach a person about any of the below, the address is justus@numinalabs.app. It is monitored by the person who wrote the app.

02 What we store

Your account and its contents are held in a Supabase database hosted in Frankfurt, Germany (EU). The categories:

Account data

The identifier from your Apple Sign-In and the basic profile needed to keep you signed in and attribute your data to you.

Group data

The groups you create or join, their membership, and the invite links that connect them.

Quote data

The quotes you save — their text, attribution, timestamps, and the group they belong to.

Image data

Any images you attach to a quote or a group, stored alongside the record they belong to.

Push notification tokens

A device token used to deliver push notifications to you. Stored per device and removable by revoking notification permission or signing out.

03 Voice recordings and transcription

When you dictate a quote, the audio is sent to Groq, a third-party processor based in the United States, which transcribes it to text. This means the audio leaves your device and is processed outside the EU. We send the recording, receive the transcription, and keep the resulting text as quote data. The audio itself is not retained by us as a stored category; it exists for the duration of the transcription request.

If you would rather your voice never leave the device, do not use the dictation feature — type the quote instead.

04 Third parties that process your data

05 Authentication

Linestash uses Apple Sign-In. We never see or store your Apple password. We receive the identifier Apple issues for your account, which is what ties your data to you. If you chose to hide your email through Apple, we only ever see the relay address Apple provides.

06 Crash reporting

We use Sentry to collect crash and error reports. These reports describe what the app was doing when it failed — device and OS details, the state of the code, and diagnostic context. They are used to fix bugs, not to profile you.

07 Deleting your account

You can delete your account from inside the app. Deletion removes your account and the data associated with it from our database. There is no form to fill out and no email to send — the control is in the app because that is where it belongs.

08 Your rights

If you are in the EU or UK, the GDPR gives you rights over your data. We honour them regardless of where you are:

• Access You can ask for a copy of the data we hold about you.
• Deletion You can delete your account in-app, or ask us to erase your data.
• Portability You can ask for your data in a portable, machine-readable form.

To exercise any of these, write to justus@numinalabs.app. If you believe we have handled your data wrongly, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

09 Changes to this policy

When this policy changes, we update the effective date at the top. If a change is material, we will make a reasonable effort to tell you in the app.
